As announced earlier this year, Michigan Language Assessment is in the process of revising the Examination for the Certificate of Competency in English (ECCE) and the Examination for the Certificate of Proficiency in English (ECPE). The test updates will reflect feedback from test users, changes to the test-taker population, and new thinking in language assessment.
The MET (Michigan English Test) is an increasingly popular choice for English language learners seeking an international English certification at the high-beginner to advanced proficiency levels. The MET was revised in January 2019 to include more content in the academic domain, to offer two-skill or four-skill test options, and to reduce test time of the two-skill MET to 100 minutes.
Many classrooms benefit from the administration of multilevel exams, such as the MET Go! or the MET. Multilevel exams can offer key benefits.
Last week, Michigan Language Assessment staff members attended the TESOL 2019 International Conference. Those in attendance enjoyed meeting with test center representatives and others in the language testing community from across the globe.
