We are now Michigan Language Assessment. Our new brand better reflects our 65-year history as developers of outstanding American English language tests. The Michigan brand is one that is recognized across the world as a beacon of excellence. We are proud to be associated with one of the top public universities in the USA.
You will see that we have refreshed our products with new logos, changed some names, and we will launch new products to improve our offering and better reflect our new brand. CaMLA Young Learners Test of English (YLTE), is now Michigan Young Learners English (MYLE). The CaMLA English Placement Test is now the Michigan English Placement Test. And in November 2018 we will offer MET Go!, a new test for teens, which completes the Michigan test portfolio. This means that for the first time there will be a Michigan examination for every step of a learner’s English language journey, from children in elementary schools to adults studying in higher education.
What’s not changing is our commitment to give every learner the chance to prove their English language abilities no matter what level they are at. We want to make sure no one fails and everyone is part of the Michigan team. We want everyone to prove their English, reach their goals, and own their future.
We also remain committed to investing in research to ensure all of our tests are valid, reliable, fair and accessible to all learners of English. In addition to our own research, we remain proud to be associated with one of the world’s leading examination boards, Cambridge Assessment English. Besides our own research, we will continue to draw on their research and expertise to produce, support, and make available the best American English tests.
