Using and interpreting MET results
MET is a multilevel exam that evaluates high beginning to advanced levels of English proficiency for high-stakes decisions in educational and professional settings. The following table shows a breakdown of MET overall and section scores by level of proficiency.

- MET score reports provide detailed information about test takers’ results and a comparison of MET score ranges by each skill area with CEFR levels.
- Correlation between MET and MELAB scores. MET is the successor of MELAB, which has been discontinued. If your institution accepted MELAB scores, you can use this concordance table to update your MELAB recognition to MET.
