Michigan Language Assessment is proud to add a new group of institutions to our recognizing organization network. This month, institutions that are part of Grupo Aliat in Mexico began recognizing Michigan Test results as proof of English proficiency. Grupo Aliat now accepts Michigan English Test (MET), Examination for the Certificate of Competency in English (ECCE), and Examination for the Certificate of Proficiency in English (ECPE) scores. 

We are proud to include this prestigious network of higher education institutions in Mexico on our growing list of recognizing organizations. The institutions of Grupo Aliat comprise more than 55,000 students at 28 campuses in 18 states. In their words, “education is the key to transform lives.” Grupo Aliat includes:

  • Universidad de Valle del Grijalva (UVG)
  • Universidad de Estudios Avanzados (UNEA)
  • Universidad La Concordia (ULC)
  • Universidad Tangamanga (UTAN)

  • Centro de Estudios Tapachula (CEST)
  • On Aliat 

MET, ECCE, and ECPE are secure English proficiency exams that are backed by Cambridge Assessment English and the University of Michigan. Like many other institutions, the universities in Grupo Aliat can now depend on these trusted certifications to verify that their students have reached their required proficiency levels.
