On February 19, Michigan Language Assessment and 9.0 Niner hosted a lunch for industry leaders and representatives of various recruitment, consultancy, and processing agencies across the Philippines at the New World Makati Hotel in Makati City to celebrate the launch of MET. CEO Sharon Harvey presented a few words about Michigan Language Assessment, MET, and the optimism the company has about helping the U.S. nursing shortage.

This event and launch was made possible by a partnership with Prometric, 9.0 Niner, and IPASS Processing. In attendance from the companies were Ervin nil Temporal, CEO of 9.0 Niner, and Rachelle Olivar, CEO of IPASS Processing.

“The event created curiosity, enthusiasm, and hope, as institutions, employers, and individuals seek a globally recognized English Language Proficiency examination accepted by the State Boards of Nursing in the U.S., yet a more accessible and affordable test to the candidates” Olivar said.

Meanwhile, the first MET administration happened the day prior, February 18, at test centers in Manila and Makati. More exam dates and locations will become available as the year progresses.
