We’ve recently expanded our business development, marketing, and recognition teams to ensure our community members receive the information and support they need.
These teams work closely with colleges and universities, professional and government organizations, test and preparation centers, and recruitment agencies to build awareness and acceptance of The Michigan Tests and identify opportunities for collaboration.
Meet Geoffrey Moody, Maksim Rutenberg, Audrey Bridgers, and Alex Russler
Geoffrey Moody is director of strategic marketing and recognition at Michigan Language Assessment, where he is responsible for expanding awareness and recognition of high stakes exams, developing and guiding brand strategy, and providing strategic insights to the organization to deliver a competitive advantage. He has significant experience in international higher education, marketing, and assessments, having held leadership positions at Southern New Hampshire University, Pearson, and IELTS USA. Moody has a bachelor’s degree in biology from New Mexico State University and an MBA from the University of Washington.
Maksim Rutenberg is the Michigan Language Assessment commercial director. He leads the Business Development department and is responsible for implementing business strategies to achieve sales targets. He manages internationally dispersed staff in the U.S., the Philippines, and India. The Business Development team explores new territories and segments, pursues business opportunities, and builds strategic partnerships.
Prior to joining the organization, Rutenberg led successful global expansion efforts in EdTech, publishing, and educational assessment. He has an MBA in international business from Zicklin School of Business and a dual bachelor of arts degree in linguistics and machine learning from Minsk State Linguistic University.
Audrey Bridgers is a business development and recognition manager. An Oklahoma native and current Oklahoma City resident, she brings nine years of experience working within international education. Her career began with teaching English in China and Cambodia, and has since included recruitment, outreach, and account management roles within education abroad and international enrollment management. She earned a B.A. in Spanish Language and Literature and a M.A. in International Studies, both from Oklahoma State University. Bridgers will manage the southern region of the United States, including the southeast and southwest.
Alex Russler is a business development and recognition manager. He has spent his entire career in international education and has a background in international student recruitment, university pathways and intensive English programs, and private language school operations, most recently in China. In addition, Ressler has been a classroom teacher and has been responsible for teacher training and teacher management. He attended Penn State and has a graduate degree from Drexel in International Education. Ressler will manage the northeastern United States region and Canada.
