Michigan Language Assessment presented two posters that highlighted the quality of the development work behind MET Go!, our new test for 11 to 15 year olds.
Assessment manager Sharon Pearce and Tony Clark of Cambridge Assessment English jointly presented a poster on the standard setting process. The poster focused on the importance of the just-qualified candidate and how Michigan Language Assessment trains panelists to identify the key characteristics that define just-qualified candidates, using the recent MET Go! to CEFR linking study as an example.
Assessment developer Brent Miller and assessment statistician Patrick McLain presented a poster on the MET Go! Listening Test. The poster focused on the development of personalized feedback and how the test utilizes the item-level response data from each test taker to identify individual strengths and weaknesses and to provide diagnostic feedback and suggested learning activities to empower test takers.
