Take an MET Sample Test
Overview
The MET Digital Sample Tests feature all four skills (writing, listening, reading, and speaking) and offer test takers a chance to become familiar with the test format and item types.
They are available for anyone to take on a desktop or laptop computer using Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge. Because they are designed solely for practice and test preparation, the sample test is not automatically scored. However, an answer key and answer sheet for the Listening and Reading Sections are available to download below.
System set up and sample test details
When you click a sample test button below, you’ll see a login screen—no password needed, as a special code will appear automatically. Complete the quick system check to test audio and video, then watch a short video on using the test interface.
Sections (in order):
- Writing
- Listening
- Reading
- Speaking
The full sample test takes about 90 minutes, so set aside enough time to complete all four sections.
Become familiar with MET before your sample test
MET is a digital exam that is available to test takers at an Authorized Test Center, a Prometric test center, or at home in some countries. You have the option of choosing between group test sessions in some locations or individual testing rooms.
