Your MET results are typically available within 5 days of your test and can be accessed via your secure online portal. When you receive your results through the customer portal, you will indicate where you want Michigan Language Assessment to send them. Score reports can be sent digitally to the organizations you list at no extra charge.

Share for visa processing

MET is recognized by government and licensing agencies in multiple countries for visa processing and employment eligibility, including the U.S. and Australia. After testing, you can download and submit your official score report as part of your application. Be sure to check the specific requirements of the agency or employer where you’re applying.

Questions about Seeing and Sharing Your MET Results?

  • Typically, you will receive your results within 5 business days of taking your MET. However, time may vary depending on where you took your exam. Please check with your test center if you took your MET in person.

  • Scores are reported by section with an overall CEFR level indicated. See a detailed breakdown of MET.

  • MET is scored using both automated and human raters. Read the “How MET is Scored” blog written by our assessment director for more information.

  • No worries! It’s perfectly normal to want to achieve a higher score. MET has section retakes for reading, writing, and listening. Learn more about section retakes. Be sure to prepare for your retake with our free preparation resources.

  • You can purchase a physical copy of your score report with a certificate in the portal.
