Retakes
Test takers are eligible to repeat any exam at their convenience unless expressly prohibited from doing so as stated in their invalidation letter. Regular fees apply.
4-skill MET test takers may request a retake of the Writing, Listening, or Reading Section of the exam.
- Test takers may only retake one skill.
- Retake must be requested within three days of the results issue.
- Retake must be completed within 28 days of the original test date.
- Score available usually within 5 days of retake date.
- Retake fee applies.
If the retake results in a higher score:
A new score report is issued. The report will reflect the score is the result of a retake.
If the retake results in a lower score:
The original score report is issued. The report will not reflect a retake.
To request a retake, log into your profile in the portal and select the retake button when viewing your scores.
